India is the second largest population in the world, which makes the real estate market get attracted towards it.
Today, Township Group announced an investment in KKR sponsored and managed NBFC in India. This is focused on real estate, which includes Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund. GIC, as a lead investor, offers the credit solution for property developers working in residential and commercial real estate sectors.
The Principal of the Township Group said, “Townsend is excited to invest alongside GIC in the KKR managed real estate lending platform. The strong secular demand for middle market housing requires innovative credit solutions and long-term capital. KKR NBFC platform provides our clients a thoughtful framework to execute in India and a strong investment partner with specialised, local market and property expertise.”
This fund is looking for a long term commitment in the country.
